Weight Loss Program for a Teen
|
|
Statistics show that 15 %
of children aging 6 to 19 years of age have overweight issues(children
and teens).
Health issues arise from
obesity and the majority of the people of our country already suffers
from this.
It is now time to take measures so the current teen generation will
succeed in weight loss.
The degradation of quality
eating habits is due to fast living. Difficult economic conditions push
women to work. They are no longer fully in charge of the diet of the
family unlike in the 60's.

The problem is not about
women preparing meals, but it is all about how much a mother would put extra
effort in keeping the health of the family at best.
Children today have sedentary
life facing the TV, computer and video games without the guiding of busy
parents. No time to do domestic, so no time to feed their stomach. And most
of the time there is not enough money to spend for the services of
restaurants.
Fast food is cheap but full of oil and other harsh additives. Easy meals are
cheap and available around every corner.
Obese teens are the proof of
this reality. Before it's too late, something has to be done. Weight loss
programs, especially for teens have to be put in action. The best is
to visit a specialized doctor who will determine the factors affecting the
kid’s weight problem. He can diagnose how much weight has to be lost by
doing calculations of the body fat scale.
Anybody has to be aware that
obesity will give health issues such as rise and fall of blood sugar, blood
pressure, heart strokes and bad blood circulation.
The psychological aspects of
a weight loss program for teen will also have to be taken in consideration.
Families are encouraged not to have a discriminating behavior towards an
obese teen.
Moreover, the lifestyle at
home can contribute to the weight problem itself. Healthy activities and
daily routines followed by the whole family have to be part of the
program.
Specific weight loss program
for teen may be an option, but it may not be needed if the child's excess
weight is manageable. With proper healthy habits led by everybody at home,
there should be slow but long term results for your kid.
